LSTM seeks additional mentors to join the pilot of its Health Innovation in a Virtual Environment (HiVE) incubation programme.
Mentors will directly support the innovative work of emerging HiVE Pioneers, dedicated to improving health outcomes in the tropics and beyond. Using a modern, online-learning environment will allow students, mentors and entrepreneurs to connect with each other. The pilot of HiVE has just been launched in Ghana.
Developed to identify and test new ideas for global health, HiVE works by bringing together a virtual team across borders, sectors and disciplines. This could mean big data and climate change specialists working alongside doctors, entrepreneurs, and engineers to drive forward solutions originated by those living and working in the communities most affected by the health challenges. HiVE is designed to identify raw talent and take brilliant ideas from initial spark, to confident concept, to refined grant proposal or business plan.
Although HiVE focuses on developing solutions for global health, we are particularly keen to welcome expertise from a range of sectors.

If you are interested but unable to commit time needed to be a HiVE mentor, LSTM is also looking to recruit subject matter experts to support the delivery of our HiVE curriculum and support the virtual teams in their projects.
