Impact of insecticide resistance on mosquito's sialome and its effect on vectorial capacity of main African malaria vectors

Wellcome Trust Emmanuel Elanga

This project is a Wellcome Trust training fellowship to Dr Emmanuel Elanga a medical entomologist based at OCEAC in Cameroon with the aim to assess the impact of insecticide resistance on mosquitoes’ sialome (composition of salivary gland) and how it affects malaria transmission notably the mosquito’s blood feeding success and the ability of sporozoite to invade salivary glands
