Jessica received her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with Industrial/Professional experience from the University of Manchester in 2019. During her undergraduate studies, Jessica conducted a research placement at The Jack Birch Unit for Molecular Carcinogenesis at the University of York investigating human bladder exstrophy and supporting bladder tissue engineering projects.
Back in Manchester for her dissertation, Jessica studied kidney organoid formation and vascularisation in mice. In 2019
Jessica joined LSTM and Lancaster University as part of the MRC DTP. Having spent time working as part of LSTM’s COVID drug-screening response, Jessica has now started her PhD project investigating the pharmacology of anti-relapse malarial agents using human liver models.
