Postdoctoral Research Associate
Shiva is a postdoc in the Grant Hughes lab working on host-microbe interactions using gnotobiotic, genome editing and cell and molecular biology techniques. His broad research interest is to understand the role of bacterial genetics in the biology of the host. He received a PhD in Biology from University of Vienna under the guidance of Prof. Renate Rosengarten and Prof. Matthias Horn.
In his PhD research, Shiva deciphered the role of Mycoplasma agalactiae genetic factors involved in the infection using in vivo and in vitro methods.
