Seher graduated in Medicine from University of Karachi, then completed her post graduate in training in respiratory medicine in Liverpool. She has a specialist interest in asthma and has worked at a regional tertiary centre for severe asthma in Manchester to increase her experience and gain further understanding of the condition.

She worked at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine with the Respiratory Infection Group from 2015 to 2017 as clinical research fellow investigating immune responses to pneumococcus in asthma and is currently writing her thesis.

She took time out of training to do an MD, was the clinical lead for the asthma experimental human pneumococcal carriage study at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. She participated in research bronchoscopy and worked on several research studies of large LSTM Medical Research Council and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Grants.

During her training she has participated in large commercial research studies investigating monoclonal antibodies in asthma.
