Tim is a Programme Manager in the Emergency Obstetric & Quality of Care Unit, part of the Department for International Public Health. He works closely with Professor Charles Ameh and the team to manage a portfolio of implementation research projects aimed at strengthening health systems for women and babies.
His first experience of LSTM was as a student on the Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance course in 2010. He first worked for LSTM in 2015, as a Programme Officer in the Centre for Maternal & Newborn Health. He led and contributed to the delivery of a variety of projects and worked with the business development team to develop new funding proposals. In 2019, he moved to the Centre for Neglected Tropical Diseases and worked as part of a specialised team focused on building capacity of drug supply chains in West & Central Africa.
Outside of LSTM, Tim has extensive operational experience in humanitarian emergency and development settings, most recently for the International NGO Safety Organisation in Nigeria and the HALO Trust in Somalia and Cambodia. He previously worked in Nepal, Lebanon, South Sudan, Liberia and Haiti.
