LSTM’s Vector Biology’s Aislinn Currie-Jordan and Natalie Lissenden took part in British Science Week 2017 at Ness Botanic Gardens in Wirral, UK. Nearly 1,000 members of the public, old and young, descended on Ness Botanic Gardens to enjoy and explore the exciting activities on offer.
Their family-friendly exhibition entitled Mosquito Madness showed the people of Liverpool the innovative research being undertaken at LSTM. Mosquito Madness illustrated PhD student Aislinn Currie-Jordan’s work on improving our understanding of UK mosquito species through hands-on activities and demonstrations. Aislinn and Natalie joined other institutions in the North West demonstrating subjects as diverse as 3D printing, tornados right through to plants, bees and aquaponics!
