Microbes to Mosquitoes workshop at Centre 63

4:30pm to 6:30pm for ages 8-12
6:45pm to 8:30pm for ages 13-17
LSTM’s Dr Lee Haines and colleagues will be hosting a workshop at Centre 63, a youth club in Kirkby, as part of Natalie Lissenden’s Microbes to Mosquitoes series.
Lee’s workshop will focus on the aspects of biology that can’t be seen with the naked eye. The children will make their own folding microscope and take part in Swab and Send to search for antibiotic-producing bacteria in and around the youth centre.
