The SFA Foundation team in collaboration with Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, visited the Kenya Medical Research Institute's Centre for Global Health Research (KEMRI CGHR) clinical trial sites located in Kisumu and Siaya, Kenya, as part of ongoing work in strengthening the continent's clinical trials ecosystem through the Clinical Trials Community Africa Network (CTCAN). Dr Becky Jones-Phillips, Director of the Enterprise and Innovation Unit along with Aaron Argomandkaha, Business Development Manager visited the institute early last week.
Through our partnership, we are:
- Piloting the CTCAN-developed Standards for Mapping and Assessing Capabilities of Clinical Trial Sites tool.
- Identifying areas for capacity strengthening & investments within clinical research
With institutions like KEMRI CGHR leading the way in TB, HIV and Malaria research, we are committed to advancing health solutions that impact the continent's health burden.
CTCAN is a network for clinical research stakeholders in Africa that seeks to enable increased, sustainable, and coordinated clinical trials on the continent.
