Heather Galloway

Heather currently works as a Laboratory Systems Associate. As part of this she works closely with Fleming Fund country grants across Asia and Africa on laboratory capacity strengthening.

In Heather's previous role as LSTM she worked at the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Trust as the Lead Laboratory Microbiologist. Her role focused on improving laboratory quality, with a particular focus on achieving ISO 15189 accreditation. Prior to her work with LSTM, Heather worked as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology at Macclesfield District General Hospital.

Heather has a BSc (Hons) degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Hull and an MSc in Medical Parasitology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
