I am a senior trainee in Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine & Tropical Medicine, and an early career researcher. My work focuses on improving the care for people with infections of global importance through clinical and health systems research, evidence synthesis, and guidelines.
I completed my undergraduate and core postgraduate medical training in and around Manchester, moving to Liverpool in 2014. Since 2018 I have been the lead fellow for the multi-country NIHR Global Health Research Group on Acute Brain Infections and then the MRC/UKRI/GECO funded COVID-associated neurological disease programme in India, Brazil and Malawi. I was based primarily at the Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, India from 2018 to 2023. I am currently gaining clinical experience in tropical medicine: having spent 6 months at CMC Vellore again, I am now in the Department of Medicine, Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, Blantyre, Malawi.
