I obtained a BSc Biology degree from Liverpool John Moores University in 2012, before completing an MSc in Biomedical Science at the University of Chester. My first scientific role commenced in 2013 at MedImmune as a downstream processing research associate, conducting pilot-scale manufacturability studies of influenza strain candidates for the seasonal commercial vaccine. In 2015, I undertook a four-year BBSRC iCASE Ph.D. at the University of Manchester in collaboration with GSK. My Ph.D. focused on the regional characterisation of leukocyte populations in lung disease, and I am currently awaiting a viva examination. I joined the Centre for Snakebite Research and Intervention (CSRI) in 2020 as a research assistant.
