Andrew joined LSTM in 2016 and is the Project Manager on a variety of donor-funded programmes. He is currently responsible for the implementation of the EU-funded IMPACT TB programme in the CAHRD unit which aims to find and treat cases of Tuberculosis in both Nepal and Vietnam. He also works within the Vector Biology department managing the GAARD and GAARDian projects which analyse the evolution of insecticide resistance in the malaria mosquito Anopheles gambiae in sub-Saharan Africa. In 2018, Andrew helped launch the new NIHR-funded Brain Infections Global programme in partnership with the University of Liverpool, which aims to transform diagnostic interventions in northern Brazil.
He obtained a Masters in international politics from the University of Glasgow and has been managing international development projects in the fields of health and education for the past 7 years. This has included the in-country implementation of capacity-building and infrastructure programmes throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America.
