Network of African Parliamentary Committees on Health
October 27th 2020
The annual meeting of the Network of African Parliamentary Committees of Health (NEAPACOH) aims to facilitate sharing of lessons and experiences on how parliamentary committees of health can more effectively address health challenges in their countries. The meeting also provides a platform to enable the committees develop concrete commitments and actions to champion and address critical health challenges.
On October 27th, 10:30-12:30 EAT, IMPALA will give evidence to parliamentarians during a special seminar that is scheduled a day before the main NEAPACOH meeting will take place. The aim of this seminar is to highlight the key findings on Lung health and TB that are emerging from the IMPALA research, to help inform the subsequent discussions on health that will take place over the 2-day meeting between October 28th-29th.
Speakers will include Dr Eliya Zulu and Dr Angela Obasi to introduce IMPALA and set Lung health and TB within the global health landscape, with talks from Brenda Mungai (IMPALA PhD Student) Jamilah Meghji (IMPALA Auspices PhD fellow) Elizabeth Shayo (IMPALA Post-Doc) and Uzochukwu Egere (IMPALA Post-Doc).
