The 56 bedded Neonatal Unit is located within 2 state government-run hospitals on the Lagos Island in Lagos State, the commercial capital of Nigeria.

The unit admits approximately 1500 babies annually
The 56 bedded Neonatal Unit is located within 2 state government-run hospitals on the Lagos Island in Lagos State, the commercial capital of NigeriaThe out born unit is within Massey Street Children’s Hospital; it has 9 incubators and 27 cots including 7 in the Emergency Room. There is also a mothers’ room
The in born unit is housed in the Lagos Island Maternity Hospital (Baby Factory); this unit has 10 incubators and 10 cots as well as a 4 bedded Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) room
The unit is staffed by 2 consultant paediatricians (neonatologists), 1 senior registrar and 4 registrars as well as 31 nursing staff

In addition to the 19 incubators, the unit has 24 phototherapy machines (plus facility for sunlight phototherapy) and 1 Dramedica Bubble CPAP machine
