
Kim is a public health professional with a strong background in research and management. She obtained her masters degree in international public health from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2016. During her time at LSTM, Kim excelled in her studies and demonstrated a deep commitment to public health. She has since actively participated in health research agenda development in the Philippines and collaborating on various health policy and systems research. Kim's passion for advancing public health led her to the position of Deputy Director at the Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes, where she played a pivotal role in overseeing research operations, securing significant grants, and developing organisational guidelines.
Kim's decision to study at LSTM was influenced by its reputation in global health and tropical medicine. As an enthusiastic Liverpool FC fan, she could not resist the opportunity to immerse herself in the city and potentially watch a match. The combination of pursuing continuing education and embracing her appreciation for the city made LSTM the perfect choice for Kim.
During her time at LSTM, Kim benefited from a scholarship, which not only eased the financial burden but also provided her with a sense of validation and support. This scholarship allowed her to fully immerse herself in her studies and take advantage of the incredible opportunities LSTM had to offer.

Reflecting on her time at LSTM, Kim advises prospective students to fully engage with their classmates, faculty, and the vibrant public health community. She emphasizes making the most of every moment during their time at LSTM, while also encouraging them to have fun without compromising their learning.
Currently, Kim holds the position of Board Member at the Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes, where she contributes to the organisation's overall purpose and ensures its fiscal and legal responsibility. Additionally, she is a Co-Convener of Women in Global Health-Philippines, actively working towards promoting gender equity in health. Recently, Kim attended the 76th World Health Assembly as part of the Women in Global Health delegation, advocating for a gender equal health workforce and improving the social contract for women health and care workers.
Kim is embarking on a new career journey as the Program Manager for the Health Promotion Program under the University of the Philippines-National Institutes of Health. In this role, she will implement activities contributing to the Philippine's Health Promotion Framework Strategy and relevant health promotion components in the Philippine National Health Sector Agenda.
