ii Diagnostics
Supporting the discovery & development of innovative diagnostics
iiDiagnostics is a spinout launched by LSTM to enable industry engagement and commercial access to world-leading diagnostics R&D expertise and facilities. The company supports the discovery and development of innovative diagnostics to save lives globally.
Enabling partnership and co-innovation
iiDiagnostics is a commercial platform that enables industry to interact with the leading global diagnostic capability within LSTM and key collaborators including the LSTM-led consortium iiCON: Infection Innovation Consortium and Liverpool John Moores University.
With extensive experience engaging with industry and bringing products to market, iiDiagnostics is in place to support every stage of the diagnostic development journey from specification design to prototype development and end-stage evaluation.
iiDiagnostics enables co-innovation and partnership, accelerating the pathway of new diagnostics to market to ease the global burden of disease.
Industry access to world-leading R&D expertise
iiDiagnostics offers industry access to the UK’s only evaluation site for the Foundation for Innovative Diagnostics (FIND) operated by LSTM. Experienced support is in place with expertise ranging from the development of point-of-care diagnostics such as rapid-diagnostic-tests (RDTs) to simplified molecular diagnostics that can be used at the community level. The team has also worked on a range of targets including emerging infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and neglected tropical diseases.
The platform offers industry access to LSTM’s LITE (Liverpool Insect Testing Establishment). Established by LSTM’s Vector Biology Department, world-renowned for its research on insecticide resistance in disease vectors.
iiDiagnostics will also assemble, market and distribute innovative new diagnostics based on sensor technology co-developed with LJMU.
