In recognition of International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, LSTM recently dedicated our Future Focus Webinar to the Health Goals Malawi, a partnership project delivered by LSTM and LFC Foundation, and supported by Tackle Africa, PSI and Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Trust research programme.
Researchers from LSTM, Liverpool FC Foundation Coaches and colleagues from Malawi joined Channel 4 Reporter, Fatima Manji, to discuss how the power of sport and the Liverpool Football Club badge encouraged young boys and men to take up health services and broke down the stigmas of HIV.

Since 1989, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine has worked to break the cycle of poor health and poverty across the world.
Our 125th Anniversary in 2023 is an opportunity to celebrate a unique institution. It is also an opportunity for us to consider the global health challenges of the next 125 years.Fin
