BMC Proceedings has published the full proceedings of the 2014 CAHRD (Collaboration for Applied Health Research and Delivery) Consultation held in Liverpool in June 2014.
The proceedings report on the scoping of major health challenges in the coming 10-20 years, along with pathways to solutions for lung health, maternal and newborn health, neglected tropical diseases, and the role of close to community providers in health systems.
Dr Kevin Mortimer, who was recently appointed Deputy Director of CAHRD, said: “The publication of this collection of papers provides a useful reference point for the future direction of CAHRD."
The University of Warwick, a key CAHRD collaborating institution, is arranging a series of CAHRD Consultation workshops for later in 2016. These will contribute to the on-going work that is building on the many successful new activities that have been supported by CAHRD since the 2014 Consultation, such as the TB-FIT programme in the Philippines and the new MRC funded Translational and Quantitative Skills Doctoral Training Partnership in Global Health .
