Northern Futures Bursary

The Northern Futures Bursary is postgraduate funding from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine for students from the north of England. If you are eligible, you receive a 20% reduction in tuition fees on any full-time, on-campus master’s degree in tropical medicine and global health.
The bursary is applied automatically. There is no separate application and no deadline to worry about: if you meet the criteria and accept a place, the discount is built into your offer.

Who Can Apply

• UK or Irish national, domiciled in the UK or Ireland.
• Must be from (have a home address) or have studied (and have an address) in one of the following counties in the north of England:
  • Merseyside
  • Cheshire
  • Cumbria
  • Greater Manchester
  • Lancashire
  • Northumberland
  • Tyne and Wear
  • Durham
  • North Yorkshire
  • West Yorkshire
  • East Riding of Yorkshire
  • South Yorkshire
• Must have Home fee status.
• Must not already hold an equivalent or higher-level qualification than the course you are applying for.
