A new chapter for infection research in Liverpool

We recently held a launch event for our new Human Challenge Facility (HCF), the largest academic inpatient isolation facility in the UK. Developed by LSTM in partnership with University Hospitals of Liverpool Group, The Pandemic Institute and the University of Liverpool, it cements our place at the heart of UK infection research and Liverpool’s place on the global map.

This is what regional ambition looks like: faster vaccine and diagnostic development, high value jobs, and a world leading research network anchored here in the city region.
