Biography
Patricia McIntosh began working with the Liverpool Institute of Tropical Medicine in 2018 in an auxiliary capacity, with responsibility for maintaining and managing the distribution of equipment and providing support to technicians. Over the years, she has taken on greater responsibilities, including managing all requests for mosquito supply both internally and externally. Patricia coordinates the supply of mosquitoes to research groups within LSTM and beyond. Currently, she is also involved in the rearing and maintenance of mosquito colonies for testing and provision to clients, supporting critical research efforts.
Before LSTM Patricia worked in the NHS for more than 4 years as a Band 4 Administration Clerk, where she gained valuable experience in healthcare administration and operations.
She holds a wide range of professional certifications including in Health and Safety, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health, and Substance Misuse Policy and Procedures.
