Biography
With more than a decade of experience in clinical trial management, Lucy Read has built her career around advancing impactful research in both UK and global health.
She has worked as a Clinical Trial Manager at the Global Health Trials Unit since 2020. During this time Lucy has overseen a diverse portfolio of studies focused on improving healthcare outcomes in resource-limited settings across sub-Saharan Africa and the Global South.
Her role spans the full trial lifecycle, from protocol development and regulatory approvals to recruitment, data management, adherence to ethical and regulatory standards and close out. She has expertise in project management, monitoring and oversight, data integrity, and cross-functional team leadership.
Lucy is passionate about using clinical research to address healthcare disparities and is committed to contributing to studies that have a tangible impact on global health. Her goal is to continue supporting high-quality, ethical research that improves patient outcomes, particularly in underserved communities.
