Biography

Holly is a Research Assistant in the Functional Genetics group within the Vector Department at LSTM. Her interest in vector biology began during her BSc in Zoology at Liverpool John Moores University, which led her to pursue an MSc in Tropical Disease Biology at LSTM, completed in 2022. During this time, she joined the Functional Genetics group, led by Professor Tony Nolan, assisting with the application of functional genetics to investigate key biological traits of the understudied malaria vector Anopheles funestus.

She remained within the group, first as a technician and now as a Research Assistant, supporting a capacity-building project in collaboration with the Institut de Recherche en Sciences de la SantΓ© in Burkina Faso.
