Biography
Rampy Kumar is an experienced clinical research professional with over 10 years of expertise in end-to-end clinical trial management across CRO, pharmaceutical, and academic research environments. She has developed capabilities in trial start-up, site activation, recruitment oversight, TMF/eTMF management, quality systems, and risk-based monitoring.
Currently working as a Trial Manager at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), Rampy is responsible for the day-to-day management of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethical, and governance requirements. Prior to this, she held roles at GSK, Cliantha Research, IQVIA, and Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she built a track record in study delivery, central monitoring, and process improvement.
Rampy holds an MSc in Health Services Management from the University of Chester and a BSc in Physiotherapy from Gujarat University.
Research interests
Since joining LSTM in 2026, Rampy has undertaken the study management of two NIHRβfunded projects: a multicentre observational study of imported arboviral infections in the UK, aimed at establishing a cohort with comprehensive clinical data and biological samples; and an observational cohort study of early Lyme disease, designed to describe the clinical, microbiological, and immunological natural history of diagnosed and treated participants with early localised Lyme disease.
