A 24 cot neonatal unit located in Zaria, Kaduna in north western Nigeria. Serves as a tertiary level neonatal unit providing a wide range of neonatal services with a yearly admission of 700- 1000 babies.
The facility has a 16 cot In-born unit and a 8- 10 cot out –born unit. Other component units include:
A 2 bed space Kangaroo Mother Care(KMC) unit
A breastfeeding room and Mothers room
The unit is staffed by 3 neonatologist, 5 senior registrars, 4 registrars, 18 nurses and other supporting staff
