Internationally recognised record of research, publication, research higher degree supervision and research funding
Record of securing significant research funding through competitive processes from funding agencies (eg Gates Foundation, FDOA, USAID, CDCNIHR, MRC, Wellcome Trust, ESRC). Proven experience of working and negotiating with Government and donors at all levels.
High quality, peer reviewed research outputs Successful supervision of research students at PhD level
Demonstrated ability to set direction, effectively respond to a complex and changing environment and apply sound judgement.
Expertise in strategic and long-term planning which appropriately reflect longer term perspectives.
A minimum of 5 years in a senior management position including proven ability to develop the capacities of multi-disciplinary professional teams |
Experience of working in low- or middle-income countries (LMIC)
Evidence of high-quality teaching at all levels
Ability to develop a multidisciplinary research programme that includes stakeholders from academia, NGO’s, UN organisations, MOH etc
Competency in IT & familiarity with different IT software packages |
